Further Studying

Oh hai!
10 shuffle songs of the night + memories :)

Potential Break Up Song - Aly and AJ - Introduced to me by either Sarah or Rachel. This was definitely during the "twigglehobbits" phase of my life. We attempted to cumulatively write a harry potter fan fiction... things did not go well. In fact i'm not friends with some of them anymore. :( However, the benefit, I became better friends with Kristina[BOMB] :)

Things I Don't Understand - Coldplay - I was laying on my top bunk bed (back when it was still a bunkbed) surfing through the itunes store on my itouch. I found these coldplay songs, this one and "One I Love" that I had never heard before, and i was like "i'm a coldplay fan! I need these songs." and here we are.

Violet Hill - Coldplay - First song released from their new album, I was really excited to get the free download from coldplay.com. I love listening to it and it's relaxed melody. I used the line "I took my love down to violet hill..." as my aim away message for a long time in 2008. I also really liked the line "if you love me, won't you let me know." I'm pretty sure this was related to Zach in some way. It sucks when you like someone and you can't tell if they like you back haha. Favorite band.

Schadenfreude - Avenue Q - I saw this show with my sister and brother in NYC when we went to times square to celebrate New Years! It was INSANE, cold, and boring, but sooo worth it. I think this was my favorite song, because it's soo true. I also remember my brother saying that it was so awkward at parts of the show because his little sister was on one side of him, and an old lady on the other.

Part II: Tonight's the Night - Ludo - LUDO! They were the second concert I went to at the webster, and the third concert i'd ever been to. I love them. They were introduced to me by one of my besties Katie :) I love the broken bride album which this is from. I remember singing these songs with Steph on the way to pit. I lovee the dark beauty of their music and cleverness. Oh! that reminds me, this concert was when i got my FIRST V-NECK!

Girl All The Bad Boys Want - Bowling For Soup- I have a very vivid memory of me standing at the window next to my front door looking out the window and singing this song. LEGOS! This was on one of the CD's i listened to whenever I build my harry potter legos with Jules!

A Night To Remember - High School Musical 3 - Watching this movie in theaters with Lindsey! We were the only teenagers there without little kids... there was an 8 year old having a birthday party. ;)

Walk Away - Kelly Clarkson - Nicki! 8th grade, Nicki and I totally bonded over Kelly Clarkson and all her songs in the "breakaway" album. I remember singing these on the way to the 8th grade picnik, and her not being able to get water out of the dispenser.

Mechanicals SK1 - Frustrator - This song was made for my school's production of a Midsummer's Night Dream. I was Snout :) This was our entrance music when we first entered on the second half of the auditorium pretending we were buying lunch then going to eat it on stage. I was the nerdy one, how fitting.

Assurance Closure - Artist Vs Poet- I saw them in concert during the Guys Guys Guys Tour, Kristina and I had gotten there just in time to see them. Joe had the most perfect and ahmazing emo hair I had ever seen. In fact we talked about it for the majority of their set. Then after before Cash Cash started playing, we both decided to get Artist Vs Poet shirts, and talked to Tarcy and Matt? It was awesome. We also got pictures with Joe on my phone! Oh and that night, Nate from Sing It Loud s i g n e d m y p h o n e , i covered it with clear nailpolish when I went home to make sure it didn't dissapear. That was a GREAT night, and I couldnt hear for that night and the next morning.

Ok Bai!

Saturday Night

:)

Good news, the bad mood has currently ceased. I wish i blogged more... i think. I always am a fan of the journal, but the problem with that is how long it takes to write each sentence. I'm a much more proficient typer. I remember back in the 6th grade when I would cheat to finish that "type to learn" program. I finished that fast, but I looked under that cardboard thing they used to block your hands haha. I always wanted to use mario's typing game, but we lost that before i really tried to learn how to type. I definetly learned how to type through AIM though. back in the day when everyone who was anyone used it :)

I'm feeling oddly nostalgic for the past. I think i'm going to try to list a song i really love from different times of my life, I may not remember the time, but I want to list a memory i have of it. That reminds me! Once i put my ipod on shuffle and almost every song gave me a fond memory... I really liked that, I sat on the phone and talked to my friend Kyle about every memory that the songs brought up. I'm just going to put the next 10 songs or so that come up on shuffle that have memories (i dont know all the music on my computer haha but who does these days?)

Feeling Sorry - Paramore - Twilight Season aka New Moon Premiere haha, I've been listening to this track a lot recently.. actually I think it might bring more me sitting in my dorm dailyboothing and twittering.

Peaches - The Presidents of America- Oh i'm so glad this song came up! This just generally reminds me of my childhood, I thought this song was awesome. "peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man in a factory downtown." :) I also have a memory about singing this in my AP chem class.

When She Loved Me - Toy Story 2 - This song made me cry during the movie and told myself not to neglect my stuffed animals. I didn't want to forget my childhood like that girl in the movie. I for some reason remember someone being in a plane and flying away, but I'm not sure if it was relevant to the movie

Shine - Collective Soul - I don't remember when I first heard this, but I remember Parag giving me burned cd's full of collective soul and oar my freshmen year of highschool. Also! Science Bowl! Because the song "gel" by collective soul had the word "Mingle" which was like our representative word.. Science bowl makes me think of the Octopus and how that legacy still lives on. I love all my "sevvie" friends, I can't wait to see them again!

Skipalong - Lenka - This song doesn't bring up a direct memory to the song. However, it does remind me of talking on the phone to my friend Brent, I'm pretty sure I talked to him right when I decided to buy this album. I also bought this album at the same time as a series of unfortunate events, and promised to send that to him... I probably should.

Marionettes - Sing it Loud - I like this song. This is one of the bands that converted me to my "emo" phase, well like dressing emo. I went to the LUDO concert where this band was. Then the next concert I went to was their "Guys Guys Guys" Tour. I totally got into the more emo indie less know music. I'm so glad I got introduced, because it introduced me to Snakes and Suits, and thus my twinny Karen!! <3> thank you sing it loud!

Crazy for this Girl - Evan and Jaron - Oh Holy Wow. Fourth Grade. Learning to play cello. GENEVIEVE!! And Oh my god! Ms. Epinoto? is that how you spell it! I remember her mentioning it or something and us trying to figure out how to play it on the cello. Genevieve was better than me haha :) especially at this. We were the "advanced" group.

Hold On - Jonas Brothers - This is my most played song of all time. My last computer records about 626 plays? :) I luff the jonas brothers at this point in time. I got to see them live in concert at the Chevrolet Music Center with one of my best friends Lindsey. Third row baby, on kevins side. I also got a guitar pick at this concert!! (from kevin) And a more direct correlation to the song. Driving in the car with my mom down addison somewhere around smith middle, and her singing along being like "how many times do they say hold on? hold on hold on hold on." :)

God Help The Outcasts - Hunchback of Notre Dame - I just listen to this song a lot. I feel like when i feel sort of down I'd listen to this song. I always thought it had a really great meaning even when i was little.

Welcome to the Jungle - Guns and Roses - This song was first given to me by my friend Alison, chemistry lab partner extrodinare! we def got that chemistry trophy the most!! Um however this particular one was given to me by James. PS: GUITAR HERO THREEE!!! \m/

I love how music captures memories I thought I'd forgotten. It's like a book of events just waiting to be remembered.

I'm kind of a loser in the way that I'm soo open all the time. I love it though, everyone deserves to know that I love high school musical, disney channel, and twilight. My favorite disney channel show is definitely "wizards of waverly place". But other not so guilty pleasures include 90210 and Firefly!! I feel things are more genuine if everyone knows that
i'm a pre-teen at heart. (even though i'm 18)

First Snow in New York!

Hey you.

So these past two days have been extremely awful, seriously.
I've been in the WORST mood ever, and it just sucks. School work never ends. I thought everything was good because I finally finished my chem exam on Thursday which I had been worrying about since before thanksgiving. I felt relieved but then my friend reminded me of my physics exam happening in a week and a half. Then I also have my loverly research paper to write… due the day after my physics exam. I am so behind in physics, I have five problem sets to do, and I don’t remember how to do it. I haven’t read for economics since the midterm since I’ve been so focused on my other work. I hate this, a lot. And then I realize that this is how it’s going to be for the rest of my life. Working hard and always having more work to do.

Dimness prospects.

I suppose I do have winter vacation to look forward to, but it feels so far away with finals coming. On that note. ARHGGH I’m really scared for my finals. First ones of college. I hate having work hang over my head, welcome to everyday since there’s always something due. I hope I get out of this funk soon, its seriously bumming me out.

At least it's finally snowing... :)

Much Love,

Self.
